How it Works Official Rules FAQ Contact About Drivers Every racing car driver is assigned a value in gallons of gasoline. The value is assigned by FanRacing Central, based on the driver's performance on the track each week. This means that a driver's value could go up, down or remain the same every week. The first race of the season is based on the prior year’s drivers’ standings. After each subsequent race of the season, the drivers’ values are posted. Owners have the opportunity to fine tune their drivers, change strategies and select any driver based upon his or her performance on any given racetrack each week. There is no risk of being permanently handicapped by a poor performing driver because there are neither the trade fees nor trade restrictions that are part of many other games. An owner needs only to stay within the gallons of gasoline allotment. A driver's number and name is used to identify him or her. In order to uncover statistics, profile or value of a particular driver, an owner merely needs to enter the identifying information. You can click on Complete Driver List for a comprehensive list of drivers’ numbers, names and values. This list is very helpful in forming the driver portion of an owner’s team every week. The screen is split between the driver list and an owner’s My Team page. Simply by clicking on the driver's name and number, that driver is automatically added to the owner’s team page. A driver may be removed from an owner's My Team page by clicking the edit button. All calculations will automatically occur when selecting or unselecting drivers. A sum total of driver's values are displayed as the owner makes selections, simultaneously subtracting those values from the allotment of gallons of gasoline. When the eighth and final driver is left to be selected, the drivers left in green are available for selection. The drivers that an owner can exchange tires for gallons of gasoline appear in yellow, (see About Exchange Rate & Limits). The drivers that are no longer available for selection appear in red. This will prevent an owner from exceeding the overall limit, (see About Exchange Rate & Limits). If selection of a particular driver exceeds a team owner’s gasoline allotment, simply by clicking on that driver’s name an exchange rate in number of tires to gallons of gasoline will be displayed on the screen. By pressing an exchange button the necessary calculations will be made and the exchange will take place.
